Interim Chief Scott Herrick

Welcome to the North Baltimore Police Department Web Page.

The police department is a professional, full-service police department, consisting of five full-time sworn officers and eight part-time officers who deliver police services in a balance of traditional and non-traditional police tactics.

We operate 24 hours a day to provide the most professional service we can. We also employ six police dispatchers who provide 911 dispatch service for police, fire, and ambulance (EMS) service.

Currently, the police department has eight Auxiliary Officers (volunteers) that provide an essential service to the police department and the citizens of this community.

The police department offers a wide variety of free services to the public. We provide Vacation Checks of your home while you are away, Child Safety Seat inspections, Free Gun Locks (when available) and many other services.

Please feel free to contact us via this site regarding any questions, issues, problems or concerns you may have or just drop us a note to say hello. Help us achieve service excellence by partnering with us in keeping North Baltimore a safe and friendly community in which to live, work, and play.
