Mayor Janet Goldner
Please take a few moments to discover all the information about the services offered in our community. Whether you are a newcomer or a lifelong resident, I’m confident that you will find something new and unique about our village by exploring our website. Additionally, I hope that you will plan a personal visit to our village so as to experience first-hand the warmth, charm and friendly atmosphere of living in “Small Town America.”
North Baltimore sits nestled in the heart of Northwestern Ohio and is strategically located at the junction of Interstate 75 and a main rail corridor for CSX railways. Founded in 1860 during the Ohio oil boom era, North Baltimore today is a village of about 4,200 residents and sits midway between the cities of Bowling Green, Ohio and Findlay, Ohio.
Among the numerous advantages of living in North Baltimore, we are most proud of the traditions of strong family and religious values. Our schools have been consistently rated as excellent and statistics show a 95% graduation rate of our high school students. The proud heritage of our North Baltimore “Fighting Tigers” will continue stronger than ever with the opening of our new High/Middle School facility this fall. Higher education opportunities are just a few short minutes away consisting of Bowling Green State University, the University of Findlay, the University of Bluffton, the University of Toledo, and Owens Community College.
As Mayor, I feel it is my responsibility to work to enhance the quality of life for our citizens by providing visionary leadership with a focus on capitalizing the opportunities that await North Baltimore.
The community is engaged in several ambitious projects to update our utility infrastructures and will soon begin the beautification of our downtown area. We anticipate a period of significant commercial and residential growth in Southern Wood County and we expect to capitalize on that trend by partnering with our neighboring communities and county agencies through logical planning and development.
Come grow with us!
